Roulette is an exciting and one of the favorite games among gambling fans since the 18th century. It is a gambling game known for its simple design and effectiveness. It has been considered a classic game within casinos.
How to Play Roulette:
Up to 8 players can play the game of roulette. As the game starts, players have to place bets on a number, a range of numbers, the colors red or black, or whether the number is odd or even. To determine the winning number and color, a croupier, also known as a dealer, spins a wheel in one direction, then spins a ball in the opposite direction around the circumference of the roulette wheel. The wheel is a black and red colored wheel with numbers positioned around its circumference. The ball falls on to the wheel and into one of 37 (in European roulette) or 38 (in American roulette) colored and numbered pockets on the wheel. The player who wins is the one who correctly predicts where the ball will land on the wheel.
The Roulette Payouts and Roulette House Advantage:
On a single zero roulette table, the house advantage is 2.7% while on a double zero roulette table it is 5.26%. A bet on one number only is called a straight-up and pays 35 to 1. A bet on 12 numbers in a column pays 2 to 1. A bet on 4 numbers is called a corner and pays 8 to 1. A bet that the ball will fall on a even number pays 1 to 1. A bet on any three numbers in a horizontal row is called a street and pays 11 to 1. A bet that the ball will fall on a odd number also pays 1 to 1. A bet that the ball will fall in any of the two numbers that you have selected is called a split and pays 11 to 1.
Roulette table:
A roulette table usually accommodates 6 to 8 players at one time. Each player is assigned a different color chip to place bets with to keep track of which player is placing each bet. Each colored chip represents one betting unit for the denomination roulette table you are playing on. When you win you will be paid in colored chips until you are ready to collect your winnings and move on.
Always remember that roulette game is completely random and luck based game and has nothing to do with any previous spin outcomes.
